Following the success of last year's event, we're excited to invite Guides of all ages to celebrate Book Week with a fun-filled day of creativity, learning and adventure. Whether you love reading, writing or getting crafty, there's something for everyone as you work towards your Literacy Badge alongside Guides from across Western Australia.

Enjoy a round robin of hands-on activities, including making your own book, creating bookmarks, playing word games and hearing from published author Wendy Rudge. Together, we'll also support Save the Children's annual book sale by donating new or good-quality second-hand books, helping to provide opportunities for children in Western Australia and around the world.

Who: Guides aged 5–17 years old
When: Sunday 23 August 2026, 11.00am–3.00pm
Where: Willetton Guide/Scout Hall
Cost: $5.00 per Guide

What to Bring/Wear:

• Book Week costume for parade (attendees are encouraged to wear or bring a Book Week costume – please refer to the Literacy Badge syllabus for age-specific guidance)
• Guide Shirt (if not in costume)
• Closed-in shoes
• Water bottle
• Packed lunch and snacks
• A new or good-quality second-hand book to donate
