Whether you're new to Guiding or looking to build your confidence and skills, this flexible training weekend gives you the opportunity to attend the sessions most relevant to you while completing essential learning requirements.

Across the weekend you'll explore practical tools and activities to take back to your Unit, discover helpful resources available through the GGWA website, and gather fresh ideas for programme planning, games, and cooking activities. You'll also have the opportunity to complete the new compulsory Child Safe training and connect with other Leaders during a relaxed social evening and sleepover at Guide House.

Cost: $5.00 per session or $10.00 for the whole day (discount automatically applied at checkout)

Saturday 18 July:

• 10.30am – 12.00pm: Finding Your Way Around the GGWA Website
• 1.00pm – 2.30pm: Child Safe Training
• 2.30pm – 5.00pm: Cooking with Your Unit
• Evening social dinner and optional overnight stay at Guide House - COMING SOON!

Sunday 19 July:

• 9.00am – 10.30am: Child Safe Training
• 10.30am – 12.30pm: Recognition System and Programme Planning
• 1.00pm – 3.00pm: Games to Play in the Unit

What to Bring

• Notebook and pen
• Guide uniform shirt
• Any items required for an overnight stay if attending the sleepover

Need to Know

• Participants can attend some or all sessions across the weekend.
• All Adult Members are required to complete the new compulsory Child Safe online module and attend a Child Safe training session.
• An opportunity will be available to complete the online module before attending the face-to-face Child Safe session.
• Further event and registration details will be provided upon registration.
