Are you ready for an afternoon of friendship, fun and adventure? Come along and discover what Girl Guides is all about at one of our special "Give Girl Guides a Go" sessions in Geraldton!

Geraldton Tarcoola Girl Guides is welcoming new members aged 5–17 years and we invite girls to join us during two special Thursday afternoon meetings to experience Guiding for themselves. Girls are welcome to attend either or both meetings.

Event Details
When: Meeting 1 – 23 July 2026 | Meeting 2 – 30 July 2026
Timing: Both meetings are 4.30pm – 6.30pm
Where: Geraldton Guide Hall, 122 Sanford Street, GERALDTON
Cost: Free, but registration is essential

During the sessions, participants will:

  • Meet a friendly group of girls, including both current Girl Guides and others attending for the first time
  • Take part in fun activities that Girl Guides enjoy during weekly meetings
  • Learn about some of the traditions that make Guiding special
  • Challenge themselves, build confidence and make new friends

What to Wear

  • Comfortable casual clothing suitable for active games
  • Closed-in shoes (sneakers are recommended)

What to Bring

  • A water bottle with your name on it
  • A smile and a sense of adventure!

Please ensure any health, dietary or additional support needs are included when completing the registration form so our Leaders can provide the best possible experience for your daughter.

Parents and Carers:
While parents are welcome to stay, we encourage girls to enjoy the meeting independently. Our Leaders are experienced, welcoming and committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable and supported.

Parents who choose to stay will not require a Working with Children Check, however they will need to complete our visitor check-in process in line with Girl Guides Australia's Child Safe and Child Friendly policies. Carers who stay are required to hold valid Working with Children Checks and will also be need to complete our visitor check-in process.
